Selfies Gone Wrong

This week was super crazy because I had to finish up my first class in my student teaching experience. I had two major assignments due on top of planning all of my lessons at school. I hardly slept all week and I had to leave my family behind when I got home from school so that I could go somewhere quiet and knock all of that work out of the way…

Penelope cried every time I left and clung to me when I was around. It was sad. I was so stressed that I couldn’t even eat and there were a few evenings when I only had coffee for dinner (not recommended). By the time the weekend rolled around I was in need of some quality family time… and vegetables.

Therefore this post has to be short because I’ve got some bonding to do with my kids.

So far Bridget and I have watched Steel Magnolias and Pretty In Pink. We decided to take some pictures to commemorate this wonderous bonding experience but somewhere in the selfie process something went wrong…

I almost peed I laughed so hard. But eventually we straightened up and got a good shot.

I’m not really sure why taking pictures of ourselves on the couch was necessary but this is simply the way of the tween so I went with it.

***Interesting Fact: Did you know that there has been a recent lice epidemic among tweens lately? It’s because kids are smooshing their heads together when they take selfies. True story… I heard it on the radio.***

Anyway, while Penelope napped Bridget and I watched Steel Magnolias and Pretty in Pink since it was snowing outside but now that the sun is shining we’re going to go outside and play with the diva and her dog.

So basically, that means I’m done writing this post… priorities. I’m sure you understand.

P.S. I weighed in at 185 this weekend. I’m not really sure what that means but it definitely doesn’t mean I’m fit. I tried twerking in my kitchen the other day and strained a muscle. How lame is that? The gym is definitely calling my name.

  1. I so ascribe to selfies gone wrong!! It’s my mantra. Why is it that we have such a difficult time with this? I enjoy your posts!
